History
Emanuele Martino aka Emax Martino aka Dm Cobb, born in 1991, province of Turin.
In 2014, after 4 years as a rapper and producer in the duo "Ritmi Vani", he began his solo journey.
The same year the singles "Il decollo", "Il Patto", "La Pelle di Audrey" and "Spilli" were released with a continuously evolving sound, moving from violent Trap bass to Reggae, Dub, Soul and Chill sounds.
In 2015 he released “SMILE”, a mainly Chill Trap mixtape.
6 months later, in collaboration with the "Trumen Records" label of Turin, the album "COME TE LA VIVI" was released, a totally self-produced project, from graphics to backing tracks, lyrics, recordings and mixing.
In September 2016 Emax changed its life.
In search of new inspiration and new goals, he leaves everything and takes a one-way flight to Australia to embark on a new lifestyle: living by traveling and making music.
On 8 December 2017 "Globe" was released, featuring French artist "Chanky", whose video clip was shot among the splendid beaches and panoramas of Byron Bay QLD Australia.
On 14 April of the same year he released "Cingolato", a single with a "street" attitude, filmed in the streets of Sydney.
On August 4th it is the turn of the single "Tutto Normale", a mixture of Trap and Guitar on the coasts of Bowen QLD Australia.
His journey continues with a backpack on his shoulder, through Thailand and California, Mexico, Guatemala and Cuba, while together with "Chanky" he forms the duo "Gatton Choice", a project aimed at telling the story of the life and adventures of travellers. They released the singles “Lucid Dream” (between Las Vegas and Arizona) and “Come si fa”, wandering around with the guitar on their shoulders, through the streets of Havana Vieja.
In September 2018, in Percé, a small village on the coast of Quebec (Canada), “Le Borse” was released, a single with an EDM structure, which blends Trap sounds, Synth Dubstep, Tribal rhythms with Emax rhyming verses, linked to a video clip in thriller. A project, as always, completely self-produced.
In 2019 the adventures took Emax to the valleys and beaches of New Zealand where the 3 singles "So Hungry", "Tipo Icaro" and "Salvati" were born.
2020 is a special year that brings the 2 travelers back to Australia, where it all began. On January 21st "Uranio" is released, a melodic trap single written and recorded in Darwin, North Australia.
On April 1st, during the long road trip along the deserts of Western Australia, the single "Carne" was released.
On July 17th the latest single "Figli di Bugs" will be released, with certainly uncommon sounds which deals with our dependence as human beings on errors and anomalies, in English precisely "bugs".
At the moment Emax is still traveling and is located in the Caribbean, precisely on the island of Guadalupe!
This is where his new album "ORIZONTE DEGLI EVENTI" was conceived and created, a "photo" of current reality seen from the eyes of a nomadic artist and told through "spatial" metaphors.
